Hello

  • Facebook

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my site, and for thinking about learning more about nutrition and long-term health and wellbeing!

I'm Fleur and now in my 50s, living in the Valleys of South Wales with my husband, Ramin and we have two cats, Cassie and Xixi. We are Baha'is and are engaged in community building projects in South Wales, learning alongside friends from different backgrounds, faiths, perspectives about how to create environments where all can flourish and grow. I am a singer, a writer and love creative projects and events. I am always keen to improve my German speaking skills and love to visit Ramin's family in Germany.

Visiting Team Labs Borderless in Tokyo Japan was a transformative experience for me - helping me learn to live with the passing of my parents, Rita and Vivian Bartlett, two shining and noble souls who illuminated life while with us. My Dad was an author  - you can purchase his books here! To listen  to a podcast about his third book, 'Navigating Materialistic Minefields' please go here

My Story

I began my working life as Secondary Drama Teacher, worked for a few years in different schools in Aberdeen before taking the opportunity to live in Chang-Chun China for a year, teaching English as a foreign language in a Private School. I went on to marry Ramin, a gentle giant German/Persian fella who was diagnosed with and greatly suffered from Multiple Sclerosis. I worked for many years in Germany teaching English and became a Carer as Ramin's illness caused him to become more and more disabled. I am in the process of writing a book about our marriage coping with his MS and learning to thrive through upholding spiritual principles called 'The Keeper of Memories', hopefully to be finished by the new year.

My dear Mum, Rita, started me thinking about food as medicine when my brother, Kalim had chronic eczema as a baby and she supported his health through careful diet choices and Vitamin C supplements. She also consulted with a Naturopath on her Cancer journey, which we believe helped her stay alive for many more years as she took on his health and healing advice. I struggled with my weight for many years, which led me to read many amazing books in my search for an answer and my nutritional knowledge has assisted my husband, Ramin’s health in his living with Multiple Sclerosis. When my dear Dad, Viv became unwell with Type 2 Diabetes, he encouraged me to teach him what I knew, taking on my advice (even though it was just from books I had read back then) and helping his digestion and energy levels in the last nine years of his life before he passed from Cancer. He truly encouraged me to pursue this line of work, and I feel my parent’s spirits are with me as I have been studying and delving deep into this new arena of knowledge, health and healing.

I trained with the Natural Healthcare College to become a Nutrition Advisor  - studying for 12 months and passing all my modules and the final exam with a Volunteer. I love this work - and hope to help many people in the years to come. I plan to continue training to become a Naturopath Nutritional Therapist - and will then be able to work beyond the digestive system and support a wider group of people. I do believe prevention is the way forward!
